Our initial campaign concluded at 9pm pacfic time last night, and you people kinda blew all of us on Team Lazarus away, to be frank. In the fourteen days of the campaign, we sold 221 shirts and raised $2,461.41 for ActBlue’s Suppport Kid’s at the Border.
This was far, far more successful than any of us had hoped.
We used Bonfire as our fundraising and manufacturing platform, and this has resulted in an…interesting complication, oddly. Not a bad one, but an unexpected one.
You see, Bonfire has a setting called “smart launch,” which kicks in – apparently – once a campaign concludes and is triggered if anyone sort of arrives late and places an order.
Guess what? A couple folks did just that, and as a result the campaign launched a second round automatically. This second run, like the first, will end in just over 14 days. Once more, anything raised during this second run will go to ActBlue’s Support Kids at the Border. Nothing about the campaign has changed – this is simply a “second batch,” as Bonfire describes it.
With that in mind, we’re republishing the link and will continue to promote the campaign. All RTs, reposts, reblogs, and support is greatly appreciated.
If you contributed in the first round of the campaign, you should receive your orders in the next 7-14 days.
Thank all of you again, from all of us. Your generosity, especially at this time, is so important. It’s more than simply adding your voice – it is an act of hope and optimism and good faith, and with those things we can fight on and on for each other, and for those who cannot speak nor stand for themselves.
